Building a perimeter wall for school grounds
Creating a secure and safe school can greatly help the learning experience of pupils at school’s in the Gambia. Soma New Lower Basic School has asked for support in providing funds towards building a perimeter wall, which will provide a safer environment for all its pupils.
Currently the school grounds act as a thoroughfare for vehicles, motorcycles and pedestrians and this can be quite distracting for the pupils as well as dangerous.
The school is situated on the TransGambia highway with vehicles running to and from Senegal. A perimeter wall will greatly help to reduce the traffic flow through the school grounds.

Thank you letter
"On behalf of the (SMC) School Management Committee, staff, pupils, teachers and the entire community of Soma, I write to express our heartfelt thanks to you for funding a perimeter wall at the above named school.
The wall was completed in 30th September 2011.

The benefits for the project are that it gives the school the necessary security and safety. It now stops the inflow of pedestrians, vehicles, donkeys, carts etc through the school. Children will now not be distracted from lessons because of the above mentioned bottlenecks coupled with the traffic flow of vehicles to and from Cassamance.
Thank you very much, extend our thanks and gratitude to your excellent customers for their support. "
